We also conduct a comprehensive range of psychological assessments for adults and children that consist of diagnostic interviews, behavioural observations and standardised psychometric instruments.

“We provide direction, focus and information through assessment and testing for various purposes.”

REASONS FOR TESTING – CHILDREN

  • Assess and identify intellectual ability and achievement levels for gifted or accelerated programmes
  • Understand academic strengths and weaknesses to assist in developing appropriate educational support plans
  • Identify reasons for lower than expected academic performance
  • Determine learning disorders (e.g. intellectual disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder)
  • Evaluate cognitive functioning for consideration of special examination arrangements
  • Examine cognitive development, communication and social skills, and self-care abilities

REASONS FOR TESTING – ADULT

  • Identify employee training needs

Cognitive Assessment / Intellectual Testing (IQ)

  • Cognitive assessment or intelligence tests are psychological tests that are designed to measure a variety of mental functions, such as reasoning, comprehension, memory and judgement.

  • Educational assessments are usually administered when there is evidence of a number of difficulties, which include but not limited to:
    • Evidence of poor school results
    • Evidence of behavioural difficulties (e.g. restlessness, poor listening, oppositional behaviour)
    • Evidence of poor attention and concentration when attempting school work
    • Assessment is available for children only.

RESILIENZ Plus

RESILIENZ is a team of forward-thinking practitioners who believe in doing things differently. We’re excited to introduce our extra offerings, breaking barriers and pushing limits for your benefit.

“We believe in doing things differently with your best interest at heart.”

House Calls

House call or Skype allows our clinicians to meet clients’ psychological wellness needs in the comfort of their home. A familiar setting encourages the individuals to be more open in taking the first step to approach their mental health needs.

Walk-A-Talk Therapy (WAT)

The traditional consult taking place in a private room may be unsettling for some. Walk-a-talk therapy provides a more relaxed environment, allowing the individual to set the pace of the exchange. It also encourages healthy physical activity, which in turn can enhance mental health and improve moods.

Virtual Reality (VR)

Impactful changes can happen when individuals are able to experience the situations that trigger distress, and learn how to respond in a more positive matter. Using Virtual Reality in therapy, individuals need not go beyond the consulting room to receive such effective coaching as their therapist guide them through the simulation.

“We take you out of the therapy room and into the open air for a change.”

Music Therapy

Music has physiological benefits in both mental and physical health. It can regulate and enhance moods, acting as a form for processing emotions, trauma and grief.

Pet Therapy

In Pet Therapy, a person interacts with animals in a guided setting, usually in the presence of the animal handler. Through this exchange, endorphins are released, providing a calming effect. This can help to improve overall physiological state by reducing stress and anxiety while enhancing self-esteem.

“Let our team of clinicians help you in the most paw-sitive way.”
